My Master Key Experience 2020/21: Year 2, Week 9

I have finally come to realise how important it is to love myself.

For years I was unable to feel love for myself, let alone being able to look in the mirror and tell myself “I love you Darren Davis” – But now I can. And it’s AWESOME.

I simply didn’t know what I didn’t know.

I have been reading Scroll 2 of Og Mandino’s “The Greatest Salesman in the World” 2 to 3 times a day, every day since the start of November. And this is my second year of doing it. Introducing this habit along with reading the 7 Laws of the Mind, The Law of Giving & Receiving, The Laws of Least Effort, Practicing having No Opinions and a constant awareness of having a Positive Mental Attitude as best I can, is all well and truly paying off. We are our thoughts. We are our habits.

We just gotta do the work, and it’s there for us – A better life. A better me. A better you.

My Master Key Experience 2020/21: Year 2, Week 8

We want it NOW, but it just doesn’t happen that way. But then what if we do nothing?

It has been a ongoing practice and a challenge to stick to all the habits from the MKE into my life over the past year or more. I have a family, a business and other things to do, but I am so grateful that I’ve done the work. I am seeing many little positive changes. And it’s only the beginning. So cool.

I am so more accepting of all people and situations now than when I started this. I know the 7 Laws of the Mind have had a massive effect. I read these to myself everyday. It’s not just a matter of reading them though, you gotta practice them. But they work.

No. 1: Forgive everyone for everything, including yourself. This is so powerful. The list goes on 2. A positive mental attitude 3. Meditation/relaxed state of mind 4. Persistent Practice 5. Knowing the Subconscious works for you 24/7 on your goals 6. The ability to attach any feeling to a thought we want and last but not least 7. The Law of Growth – Whatever we think about grows, whatever we forget about atrophies without exception.

They work, when you use them. Simple as that.

We were taught about the linking and connecting of all the other habits also and I didn’t think much of it at the time, but it comes. And when you get that part, it seems to all come together so naturally.

There is a saying “The Truth Shall Set You Free” – That really is on the money, and I’m so grateful to be connected to it, knowing it’s only going to get better and better.

I’m addicted to these positive habits, why would I not want to be? I care for my future self and all around me.

Just How Positive Are You, Really?

My Master Key Experience 2020/21: Year 2, Week 7

I used to think I was pretty positive until I looked into it further.

It is interesting what you find out, when you search and keep asking questions in the pursuit of knowledge.

I have always tried to look at the positive side of things even while going through a lot of negative and challenging situations in my life, but then in November 2019 I practised the 7 Day Mental Diet and didn’t realise how negative I actually was.

Anyway that’s OK, because it turns out it’s not my fault. And if you find yourself being negative sometimes, it’s not your fault either.

So, when you put this together with total forgiveness (of everyone, for everything and that includes yourself) and practice the ability to be the observer of all situations without judging, it makes life a hell of a lot easier.

I remember doing the seven day mental diet for the first time last year, where we have to be an observer of our thoughts and feelings and whenever we come up with a negative thought or feeling, we have to start all over again until we can do it seven days in a row without a negative thought. We do it again this week – Bring It On!

It can be pretty challenging when we’re negative by nature. We have a predisposition to react negatively (in a protective way) that goes back thousands and thousands of years, so it is not our fault.

But what a brilliant practise it is. And when you throw in having no opinions also, it is so calming.

And when we remember that when thoughts that fire together, wire together and we do a bit of hard mental labour practicing these habits over and over again, we can actually set ourselves up by creating a positive mental bias instead.

Is that awesome or what?

Is Your Opinion Really That Important?

My Master Key Experience 2020/21: Year 2, Week 6

The week just gone was an intense practice of giving no opinions, even to myself.

Have you ever tried this? It can be a challenge. I remember adopting the ability of putting my ego aside years ago by teaching myself to “Say a lot, by Saying Nothing.”

I really welcome this intense practice, of simply observing and listening and giving no opinions. Don’t know if you’ve tried it, but when I do it, it makes me feel so much more connected to my true self when I shut my mouth. Because when you just listen without judging, you actually notice that what people are saying is often not real fact at all, but just their opinion. Being a Non-judgmental observer works for me.

It is funny, at the same I was noticing and feeling a lot of controlling mannerisms from 2 of my closest loved ones. I could have got upset, but I just observed it all and felt that (even though I have some controlling traits sometimes), I was not controlling anyone by not having an opinion. Or was I?

As I look back at this past week now, I know I actually was being controlling – and that being my practice of not having an opinion. I’m ok with that though, that’s a good control.

Habits – What’s Your Addiction?

My Master Key Experience 2020/21: Year 2, Week 5

Apart from the Drugs, Alcohol, TV, and too much Computer time in my past, I also used to do way too much Negative Thinking, Judging of People and Being too Opinionated. Little did I know THEN how much it was continuing to attract negativity into my life. I was simply being a sheep and following my outside world.

In September 2019 I was introduced to some new habits of which I have been practicing daily and these have had a profound effect on my life to date. One of these habits (there’s others) was reading Og Mandino’s book, The Greatest Salesman in The World. The first scroll that I read for 1 month every day, x 3 times per day, is all about Habits. It wasn’t that hard as it’s only a few pages of a small book. Looking back now I can see how I am addicted to these new habits because of the positive effect they have had on me. As much as we want things to happen straight away, it didn’t happen overnight, but it did happen. Persistent Practice pays off. Why would I want to stop?

Sometimes it was annoying to go out of my way and do these habits, but I soldiered on.

And, 13 months later, I’m more loving, positive, calmer, accepting and focused. The better focus I have gained leads me to making this a short post this week, as I have other priorities I must DO NOW!

So, what habits do you have that you’d like to change? All it takes is one step at a time. And it works when you do the work. What would you like more of in your life?

Giving to Others, But Not Receiving – What was I thinking?

My Master Key Experience 2020/21: Year 2, Week 4

The Law of Giving & Receiving.

I was introduced to this law seriously in late 2019 and have been reading the short script below almost every morning since. It is coupled with a strict MKE routine of other newly introduced habits from then.

I have always believed in karma and the saying, “What goes around comes around”, but to have this brilliant tool introduced into my life and knowing how much I have benefited out of it now, I am simply so grateful. Who would have known? And this is only after one year! Why would I stop practicing it? It now also stands out so much, how my beautiful wife, Ninin has always (and right in front of my face for 13 years) naturally been in the flow of Giving & Receiving all along, but I needed the MKE to show me. The Law goes like this:

THE LAW OF GIVING AND RECEIVING

Wherever I go, I bring a gift. I may bring a compliment, a prayer, a trinket, a flower. But I promise I give something to every person I encounter. I promise to be a grateful receiver of the gifts that surround me, pausing often and noticing nature, kindness, smiles, compliments which I gladly receive with a thank you. I promise to give hope for joy, affluence, kindness and love consciously with every encounter, regardless of the brevity. I promise to give without the expectation of reciprocity from the channels I enrich, because I know I am in The Dynamic Flow of Giving & Receiving.

This daily habitual reading has helped me to:

GIVE WITHOUT THE EXPECTATION OF RECIPROCITY: When I first heard this, I found it hard to swallow, because I believe that not only myself, but the majority of society are taught that we should be rewarded when we do something. I know I did for years – “Eat your brussel sprouts Darren, there’s a good boy and you’ll get some dessert”. “Study hard and you’ll get a gold star on your report card.” I did all that for years and I had always expected something in return, even if it was just a pat on the back or acknowledgement to satisfy my (at the time) insecure ego.

GIVE SOMETHING TO EVERYONE YOU COME ACROSS DURING THE DAY: A gift, a hug, a cup of tea, coffee, a compliment or even just a smile. I actually didn’t find this hard to do, and coupling this with the practice of kindness, this was ok for me to keep doing and improving on.

BEING A GRATEFUL RECEIVER OF THE GIFTS THAT SURROUND ME: I had heard about practicing gratitude and I thought “yeah, yeah, whatever”. Often I was too focused on the past and present and missing out so much on “The Now”. I also had a hard time receiving compliments and gifts, no matter how much I gave to others.

Wow, was I blocking the flow. It is so cool to look back now and appreciate my journey. I AM SO GRATEFUL FOR EVERYTHING that has happened to me, including all my mistakes, 30 years of depression, a relationship breakup, child custody battles and more. Of course there was heaps of good stuff in there, but I am grateful for all of it.

Being a grateful receiver and practicing a simple “Thank You” is so powerful when you live it. We deal with some beautiful people who look after the homeless and they are definitely heart warming Go-Givers, but I’m not sure that they are in the flow of receiving.

A very good mate of mine passed away from a heart attack earlier this year and I was pleasantly surprised and proud of myself how emotionally strong and composed I was compared to some of my other great friends. It felt really good. And I would have normally been pretty emotional and sad for months. I accepted it far quicker than I would have imagined, and I felt ok about it. After all I know he wouldn’t have wanted me to be sad for months, just as I wouldn’t want others to be sad over my passing. The MKE helped me through it, no doubt about it. I know I am simply becoming more and more connected to my authentic self – to the truth. It’s really, really cool.

It didn’t happen overnight, but it’s happening. Why would I want to stop doing ANY of the MKE habits?

If a Child Needed Guidance, Would You Help Them?

My Master Key Experience 2020/21: Year 2, Week 3

This goes out to anyone who has spoken to a child at any time in their life with the intention to help them in anyway. By the way, that’s almost everyone.

No doubt when you gave some guidance to that little girl or boy, you felt, that what you were saying to them was right because of your experience. And you did this because you care about them and because they were learning and simply didn’t know what you know. We want the best for kids, Right? Of course we do!

So, why do many people not do the same for their own subconscious mind? Our Subconscious Mind is gullible and will listen to us and believe exactly what we tell it, whether it be positive or negative. And it will act upon it.

Would you willingly tell a child to believe in something that you knew was wrong? Would you have them speak negatively about themselves? Would you have them worry over things that may not even happen? Of course not. But why do many, many people do this to their own minds? What about our own inner child / our subconscious mind?

There’s lots of crazy stuff going on in the world that we can’t control. But there is ONE THING that we can control and that’s our thoughts.

Throughout my many years of searching, reading, studying and hands on practice to help myself and others in my life, the best thing I have come across is the Master Key Experience because it has simply been the best thing to help me to control my thoughts. It’s even shown me how we can actually “rewire” our brain and get rid of negative thoughts if we work on it. If we don’t work on it, we get what we get and we go to the grave with that.

Thoughts That Fire Together, Wire Together

Rewiring the brain in a big way doesn’t happen in a hurry, especially for us who have a few years under our belt, BUT it will work when we do something about it. A few years ago I made a conscious decision to put in the work, change some habits day by day and not be one of those people who spend more time watching tv than they do on working on themselves, so they could (if they do the work) create a better life for themselves.

I’m grateful I utilise the MKE tools and skills to not only work on my subconscious mind to create a better life for myself, but importantly also for my beautiful kids.

New Consciousness

However you would like to word it… I am definitely ready for a revolution. I have been ready for as long as I can remember. I don’t know a single person who doesn’t want to change or improve for the better. How we become prisoners to our own thoughts, feelings and habits is clearer now and more simple than I could have even imagined.

As I sat in bed last night preparing myself for my new routine of reading and meditation. “Today I begin a new life. Today I shed my old skin which hath too long suffered the bruises of mediocrity”. I think to myself, surely no one else is reading this 3 times a day? I…

The Master Key Experience – year 2

October 5th 2020

Hey Great People!

Well here we go again beautiful people. It’s October and we’re into it, another year of the Master Key Experience, and how exciting it is. I am so honoured to be in it this year as a guide.
The past 12 months have been just fantastic and manifestation of my Definite Major Purpose has occurred in ways that I could not have imagined. As the experts such as Napoleon Hill, Charles Haanel and Wallace Wattles say, you just focus on what you want and not what you don’t want and your purpose will manifest. It hasn’t happened over night, but it’s happening. Why would you not want to keep up with the habits when you see results?

My DMP is a statement that I wrote approximately 12 months ago and I have been reading it aloud at least twice a day, every day for the past year, along with a few other habits.

I asked for autonomy and I’ve got it. I asked and focused on helping others (as another one of my personal pivotal needs), and I got it.
And now I have the privileged of guiding others in their journey of manifesting what they want to achieve through their DMP. These are more beautiful people who simply want to take control of their lives.

The MKE is the hardest thing I’ve ever done but also the best thing I’ve ever done. It is a challenge, because generally many people are pretty negative.

I have met and collaborated with so many beautiful people on the same wavelength and the same mindset in the past year and now I get to do it again with more beautiful people. So cool. Here we go and it’s only the second week of the 6 month program.

It’s funny, if I had of heard this question before, I would have looked at it as an egotistical thing and I would of instantly judged and thought “Oh, who’s the wanker that wrote this?” LOL – I’m the one who put this video together.

AND, if I happened to be interested somewhat, I would have looked on the “outside” to find the answer. Little did I know this answer (and many more answers) lie within me – and YOU for that matter. And that’s what this video is about.

It blew me away, when I connected to the greatness within me. I was fortunate enough to come across the #MasterKeyExperience and all the beautiful people involved in it around the world, in 2019. And I know now, it “Called Me” just at the right time, even though I had been searching for “something” for 25 years or more.

I actually used to think I was a bit of a dummy and used to look up to many others as though they were better than me – crazy. I pretty well only let that go just last year, half way through the course. I had heard the saying before “The Truth Shall Set You Free” and never much thought about that, but WOW, how true that is.

Seriously, why do we say, do and act in certain ways because we are worried what others think of us?

How caught up in the B.S. of life we really can be, that shelters us from the truth, simply because we are so “conditioned” from our outside world. It’s not your fault, these habits go back many years. No doubt you’ve heard how “kids lose their innocence” when they’re about 5 years old? Well the MKE is all about reconnecting to that and encouraging the true greatness that has always been within you. Actually the MKE is many things to many people and this video shows that. I have a beautiful daughter and 2 champion boys who are growing up and watching and learning about the MKE and my involvement in it. My whole family is watching me do it including my beautiful supporting wife, not to mention my friends who are “watching” on social media – lol. Hey, it’s all good, I get it. Successful people are the ones who do things that unsuccessful people are not prepared to do.

I am so grateful that I can pass this onto my boys as they grow up with it, and gives them the opportunity to keep a lot of that “cement” off of their uniqueness. (See the movie “Golden Buddha – below” in regards to that cement). Guaranteed, they’re going to have a far easier life than most other kids. And you won’t “get” that unless you get the MKE.

Anyway, the MKE is about to start again this year and those who choose not to take that step into their own greatness this year will have to wait until next year. As for my addiction to it, it continues.

This year I get to do it as a Master Key Guide – What an honour.

Why would you not want to connect to the real reason you were put on this planet, especially when you know that you know that you know, you have something so special to give to the world.

Every one has something unique to offer the world and the MKE helps you connect to that.
